Roles & Responsibilities

• Work on stormwater, green infrastructure, drainage, flood management, and H&H projects
• Model hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater performance for existing and proposed conditions
• Develop civil engineering plans using GIS and Autodesk, MicroStation
• Learn and apply knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards
• Perform field investigations - measurements, photographs, sketches, verify surveys, identify changes
• Obtain permits and approvals from relevant review authorities
• Participate in Resiliency Studies, Design Charrettes, Master Planning
• Research and write reports on project findings and relevant policy topics
• Stay current on industry trends and identify new business opportunities

Qualifications - Required

• Bachelor of Science Engineering
• EIT certified
• AutoCAD proficient
• Office 365 proficient
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Interest in innovation and technology

Qualifications - Desired: 3+ years' experience 

• Project Management
• Designing active and post construction stormwater site controls
• H&&H modeling experience
• Familiarity with DC-MD-VA SW manuals, standards and specifications, and compliance tools

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in door-to-door education and recruitment campaigns
• Use email and phone calling to pursue and follow up on leads
• Keep field logs and input data to track effort and outcomes
• Support site assessments and verifications
• Promote programs on social media posting and at community events
• Take meeting minutes, assist with file management, scheduling, etc.

Qualifications Required

• University degree, or near completion, in relevant field
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Proficient O365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Outgoing affect
• Nimble across social media platforms

Other Job Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend
• Familiarity with Washington DC neighborhoods (or willingness to learn)

Helpful Competencies Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS

Commitment

This is a minimum 5-month commitment. A minimum of 10-hours weekly is required. Hours can be set or flexible. Availability during normal business hours is mandatory. Multiple positions possible. Position can lead to permanent fulltime employment.
